Before you decide to buy an Australian Shepherd, make sure that this breed is right for you. Read about the breed as much as possible verified information. Be aware of the origin of the race and the features that are more or less inscribed with it. Be honest with yourself and ask yourself if an Australian Shepherd is a good option with your lifestyle.

We are here to help you.
[dt_gap height="50"]
To make the right decision, you should get to know the breed well and choose the one that is as close to our expectations as possible. What kind of dog (happy, sociable, working, family, defensive) we would like to have in the future. Remember that you can come across different personalities within a race. However, some features are indispensable and even inscribed in the breed, which is why it is so important to get acquainted with the features of a given breed, its history, what it was created for, and what angle it is bred for. There is a lot of variety in the case of the Australian Shepherd. Some of them will have a greater tendency to get into very high emotions. Some may be more or less active. Of course, a “less active” Aussie can still be mega energetic compared to an active dog of another breed. Thus, the word “less active” in Aussie, further for a certain group of people, may prove to be a temperament with which it will be difficult for them to live with.

We buy with our eyes?

[dt_gap height="30"]
The vast majority of us … yes. We understand the fact that the Australian Shepherd is a very beautiful dog. It attracts the eyes of passers-by and arouses the shouts of admiration among dog lovers. Believe us, we completely understand that the future owners want their canine companion, at first glance, to just like it. However, the color of the eyes or coat should absolutely not be a key factor in choosing a puppy. A puppy is not only about its appearance. It’s mostly a personality. Obvious right? Each of us knows perfectly well about it? And yet, there is still a group of people for whom a given color in a dog must be there.
When you talk to people who chose, for example, a Golden, German Shepherd or Bernese, they will certainly not tell you that the color of the puppy was crucial for them in choosing this particular breed. They will talk about their personality, temperament, unique abilities, size, relationship to other dogs and people, whether they are family dogs, etc. Ultimately, our dog’s “personality traits” will be of much greater value to the owner in the future than just whether he has blue eye, merle coat or not.

Male or female?

[dt_gap height="30"]
A large proportion of people believe that bitches are less troublesome. Many of them want to have a “sweet girl, cuddly toy”. They have the impression that females do not show dominant behavior, that they are more obedient, do not mark the area, which they find problematic in the case of males. However, the opposite is often true. Bitches are much more prone to mood swings. In heat, unless sterilized, this month can be very troublesome for the female, for you and for any male in the area. Males, on the other hand, are more persistent and less capricious. They are believed to be more sociable. While bitches become more serious, dignified, and reserved over time, males tend to be big children for the rest of their lives and love constant mischief and play. In most castrated males, when testosterone levels decline, behaviors such as “importance of the terrain” disappear. Before deciding on a specific gender, consider the pros and cons and consider other animals living in your home. And remember, gender does not determine character. The fact that you have always had, let’s say, females and each of them was calm, well-mannered and faithful does not mean that each subsequent female will be like that. Sex does not guarantee anything.

Matching the puppy

[dt_gap height="40"]
Our duty is not only to make the buyer happy. Of course, we make every effort to ensure that the people who create homes for puppies from our kennel are fully satisfied with the choice, but if you call and say that you want a merle puppy or a puppy with blue eyes, do not count on the fact that one in the kennel it will be waiting for you only because you expect and look for it. Don’t get us wrong! You have the right to look for a puppy that you like and what you “dreamed” of. However, from our point of view, deciding to take a puppy just because it has a particular appearance is not a good or responsible decision.

It is our duty to make the puppies from our breeding happy. We are fully responsible for our puppies. We “devote” a significant part of our lives to our dogs. We support puppies from the very birth, we provide care and the best possible start, taking care of their proper development and socialization. It takes a lot of sacrifice. How many, only another breeder knows for sure. That is why we care so much about choosing new homes for puppies that will be able to meet their needs. We want to place them in homes where we believe they have the best chance for a happy life and great prospects for mental, emotional, psychological and physical development. Where they will be loved and where they will not only be an addition to the couch or family. That they go to families that are fully aware that this breed has its own requirements and needs.

We will take your puppy’s appearance preferences into account as much as possible, but you must be aware that they do not have to be decisive in what kind of puppies we offer you. However, it may turn out that the litter will include one that will suit you both in terms of temperament and appearance. So tell us more about yourself, your way of life, your family. And finally about the expectations of the puppy in terms of his temperament, activity, predispositions, etc. Tell about your plans related to him. In order to be able to choose the right home for a puppy, we need to get to know you as well as possible. We want you and the dogs from our kennel to live as well as possible and without any problems. The more you write about yourself, your experiences and plans, the more we will be able to choose the right Toddler who may be the best choice for you. All this information will be important to us because, for example, we are not going to place a high-energy puppy in a family with small children. It wouldn’t be a good solution for anyone. Puppies with a predisposition to “work” will look for an owner who will be able to provide him with conditions for training and development in this direction. So the more honestly you tell about yourself, the better. Based on the experience and observation of the puppies, the breeder knows them best, we try to match them as accurately as possible and propose the right puppy to the specific owner, so that everyone can live well and trouble-free. So that as a result, you and the puppy will be satisfied and happy for many years.

When you give a home to a puppy from our kennel, you can be sure that you will not be left without help and support. If you have any questions about nutrition, upbringing, if you have questions about training or difficulties that you find difficult to deal with on your own, or you just want to talk, remember that you can always count on our knowledge and experience. We will be glad if you stay in touch with us. We are here for you.

Puppy reservation

[dt_gap height="40"]
We would like you to fill out our form and contact us by phone so that we can best match the puppy to you / your family. The form is not a test. There are no right or wrong answers! It simply helps us to get to know you better so that we can continue talking about the puppy and keep in touch with you.

Completing the form does not involve automatic booking. We stay in touch with people who are interested in a puppy from OUR kennel. Concrete decisions are made when puppies are about 4-5 weeks old, and sometimes later. We understand that you want to know as soon as possible if there is a puppy in the litter just for you. However, if you care about a puppy from our kennel, with a given temperament or specific predispositions, please be patient. We need a little more time to be able to pre-evaluate a given puppy. If a puppy that meets your requirements does not appear in a given litter, we can be in contact with the next litter.
